In winter semester of 2016/17 the illustration class of UdK explored the question of how a city can be used as the background for narrative illustration. Driven by my cineast passion I told a coming-of-age short story entitled Mallflowers dealing with the purposelessness of growing up as a white middle class young adult in an urban landscape. The story was published as a newspaper together with different stories that were developed in this class, by Hanne Jatho and ZEBU among others, and accompanied by a six week exhibition at the Ministry of Illustration, Berlin. Mallflowers was also featured on bento.de.
